Kemenkeu keeps civil servant pay routed through banks, not Kopdes Merah Putih
The bank-based system remains under PMK 11/2016, while Kemenkop has yet to provide a timeline or detailed mechanism.
The Ministry of Finance said civil servant salaries will continue to be paid through banks, not through Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih. Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara, speaking at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, said the mechanism will remain as it is now. The clarification responded to a proposal from Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono, who had earlier proposed channeling ASN salaries through cooperatives to the Ministry of Finance. Ferry has not yet outlined a schedule, budget amount or which cooperatives would be involved. At present, civil servant payroll still refers to PMK 11/PMK.05/2016 on salary payments through employee accounts at commercial banks on a centralized basis.
