Kemenhub distributes 150 life jackets to Muara Angke fishermen
50 of the life jackets came from BKI; fishermen also received 2,216 Buku Pelaut Merah and 6 e-pas kecil.
The Ministry of Transportation distributed 150 life jackets to fishermen in Muara Angke, North Jakarta, in a maritime safety campaign on Sunday. The aid is aimed at reducing the risk of sea accidents in coastal areas with heavy ship traffic and fishing activity. Director General of Sea Transportation Muhammad Masyhud said 50 of the 150 life jackets came from Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia. In addition, Kemenhub distributed 2,216 Buku Pelaut Merah and 6 e-pas kecil. Acting KPLP Director Triono said the program follows a similar campaign at the Kaliadem Passenger Port, Muara Angke, in December 2025, when Kemenhub distributed 604 life jackets, 10 life buoys, 180 basic food packages, 2,791 Buku Pelaut Merah and 38 e-pas kecil.
