Kemenbud prepares 5 historical sites in Bogor for national heritage
Batu Cianten has been lifted and given a museum display, while a replica is planned for Kebon Kopi 2 after its inscription went missing.
The Ministry of Culture is preparing five historical sites in Bogor Regency, West Java, for upgrading to National Cultural Heritage status. Culture Minister Fadli Zon said the ministry is also reviving a number of locations as part of efforts to preserve the region’s historical legacy. The sites under review include Ciaruteun, Kebon Kopi 1, Kebon Kopi 2, Prasasti Jambu, and a new find in the Arca Domas area. Fadli said Batu Cianten has already been lifted and placed in a museum. For Kebon Kopi 2, Kemenbud is preparing a replica because the inscription has disappeared. Beyond site preservation, Kemenbud is open to cooperation with the Bogor Regency Government to develop the arts and culture ecosystem.
