KAI chief inspects 3 level crossings in Yogyakarta
The review covered JPL 707, JPL 704 and JPL 739 to prepare for the rainy season and the Christmas-New Year travel surge.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Chief Executive Bobby Rasyidin inspected three level crossings in the Daop 6 Yogyakarta area on Friday, 6 November. The visit covered JPL 707 in Dusun Tapen, Bantul; JPL 704 in Bantar Kulon, Kulon Progo; and JPL 739 on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Tegalrejo, Kota Yogyakarta. KAI said the inspection was carried out to check infrastructure quality, including Concrete Level Crossing work, while preparing rail safety for the rainy season and the Christmas 2026-New Year 2027 transport period. In his remarks, Bobby said direct oversight is needed to keep operations reliable and maintain service to passengers ahead of the year-end travel period.
