Juventus take Vicario on loan from Spurs with £8.6m buy option

What's next: The 29-year-old is due in Turin to complete the move after losing Tottenham's No. 1 job to Antonin Kinsky.

Juventus reached a deal to take Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario on loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent for £8.6 million. The Italy international, 29, is set to travel to Turin to complete a return to Serie A after falling behind Antonin Kinsky under Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi. Vicario joined Tottenham from Empoli for £17.2 million in 2023 and made 117 appearances for the club. Juventus turned to Vicario after efforts to land Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez broke down. Tottenham have also added Martin Dubravka on a free transfer, while De Zerbi has kept Kinsky as his first-choice goalkeeper for the new season.
