Juventus defeated Chelsea 1-0 in a preseason friendly at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong on Wednesday local time. Edon Zhergova scored the decisive goal in the 68th minute after receiving a pass from Kenan Yildiz. Chelsea had more of the ball at times but could not turn several chances into a goal. Juventus threatened first through Manuel Locatelli, while Jeremie Boga also troubled Robert Sanchez. For Chelsea, Danny Welbeck and Jamie Gittens had chances, but their finishing failed to beat the opposition defense. It was Juventus' fourth preseason match after facing Basel, Standard Liege and Nice. For Chelsea, it was their third match after meeting Western Sydney Wanderers and Tottenham. Juventus next are scheduled to face Inter Milan in Perth, while Chelsea will meet AC Milan in Jakarta on Saturday.
