Jury selection began Monday in Plymouth Superior Court in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother charged with murdering her three children in Duxbury in January 2023. Clancy, 35, a former nurse, has pleaded not guilty to three murder charges in the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Authorities said first responders found the children unconscious with severe trauma after a 911 call reporting Clancy’s suicide attempt. She survived the fall and was left paralyzed, appearing in court in a wheelchair. Defense lawyer Kevin Reddington is expected to argue the killings were driven by mental illness, while prosecutors have pointed to Clancy’s actions that day as evidence the acts were not impulsive.
