Jokowi brings all original diplomas to testify in East Jakarta Court
He testified in a defamation case involving Roy Suryo and Dokter Tifa over allegations that his diplomas were fake.
Joko Widodo arrived at the East Jakarta District Court on Thursday morning carrying all of his diploma documents for a hearing in a case of alleged defamation and insult over claims that his diplomas were fake. On arrival at around 08.30 WIB, the 7th president of the Republic of Indonesia briefly said the original documents were brought “all of them.” He appeared as a witness in the case involving Roy Suryo and Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Dokter Tifa. In court, Jokowi objected to the allegations and questioned the basis for the defendants’ conclusions before seeing the original diplomas. Police prepared security and traffic arrangements around the East Jakarta District Court because of the presence of supporters and congestion in the hearing area.
