JIS KRL station opens, linking stadium access by rail

The Tanjung Priok-Jakarta Kota line began stopping at JIS at 13:00 WIB, with fares set at Rp1 through 28 June.

The Jakarta International Stadium KRL station began limited operations on Monday (22/6), coinciding with Jakarta's 499th anniversary. Starting at 13:00 WIB, the Commuter Line on the Tanjung Priok-Jakarta Kota route officially began stopping at the JIS station to serve access to the stadium area in Sunter, North Jakarta. Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said the station has only one platform for now and will be further developed, with a target of being completed as a permanent station in about one year. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo also inaugurated a pedestrian bridge connecting JIS with Ancol. The provincial government hopes the KRL and overpass links will ease parking problems and traffic congestion during concerts or matches. From 22-28 June 2026, the fare to and from JIS station is set at Rp1.
