Jakarta Selatan traffic operation targets 4 sites, 120 officers
Enforcement will continue through static and mobile ETLE during the Oct. 26-Nov. 8 operation, including weekends.
The Satlantas Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan is carrying out Operasi Patuh Jaya 2026 at four points: Fatmawati, Pasar Minggu, Kebayoran Lama, and along Ciputat Raya. Police split the deployment into two shifts, with around 60 officers in the morning and 60 in the afternoon. The operation runs for 14 days, from Oct. 26 to Nov. 8, 2026. In the field, officers first provide education and warnings to motorists, including reminders to vehicles that cover license plates. While a persuasive approach is prioritized, enforcement is still carried out through the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement, or ETLE, system, using both static cameras and mobile devices. The operation is conducted every day, including Saturday and Sunday, to reduce violations and improve order and traffic safety.
