Iwobi lifts Fulham past Hull 1-0 for Arbeloa’s first league win

Alex Iwobi scored the only goal as Fulham beat Hull City 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, giving Álvaro Arbeloa his first Premier League victory in seven matches in charge. Fulham controlled long stretches and created several clear chances but failed to add to its lead after Iwobi’s first-half finish slipped past goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis. Gonzalo García later hit the crossbar from close range as the home side kept pressing. Fulham finished with 10 men after Ryan Sessegnon was sent off in stoppage time, but Hull never found an equalizer. The result lifted Fulham off the foot of the table and added pressure on Hull after a fifth straight match without a win.
