Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon kill 17 people

A strike near a hospital in Tyre wounded at least 17 people, including 10 health workers, from glass and debris.

At least 17 people were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, Lebanese media reported. The National News Agency said nine people were killed in Tayr Debba, three in Deir Qanoun el-Nahr, two in Seddiqin, two in a drone strike on a car in Sidon, and one in the Massaken al-Shaabiya area of Tyre. The same day, another strike hit a residential building near a hospital in Tyre and wounded at least 17 people, including 10 nurses, from flying glass and debris. Hizbullah also said it struck Israeli military positions in Bayada and Yohmor. The U.N. said it would send a human rights investigation team to Lebanon to examine alleged violations since early March.
