Israel seals Al-Mughayyir’s last access for 20 hours in West Bank

Ambulances and Civil Defense vehicles were barred, while settler attacks were reported to have increased over the past 20 days.

Israeli forces closed the only remaining access to Al-Mughayyir in the West Bank for 20 straight hours, leaving residents unable to enter or leave. Amin Abu Aliya, head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, said the restrictions have been repeated over the past 20 days: the road is shut in the morning so workers cannot leave, then closed again in the afternoon so residents outside the village cannot return. He said Israeli forces raided the village on Friday with dozens of military and police vehicles together with Israeli settlers, citing the theft of a settler’s sheep. He denied the allegation. During the raid, forces also blocked ambulances and Civil Defense vehicles from entering. Abu Aliya added that more than 50 settlers attacked the village’s northern area, injuring a Palestinian farmer and stealing 25 sheep.
