Iran Claims 75% of Missile, Drone Stockpiles Remain Ready
The claim contradicts Donald Trump's estimate last month that Iran had only about 21-22 percent of its missile and drone reserves left.
Iran claims more than 75 percent of its missile and drone capabilities remain intact and ready for use despite strikes by the United States and Israel over nearly the past six months. The statement was made by Brigadier General Ali Reza Sheikh, deputy commander of the Iranian army for executive affairs, as quoted by IRNA on Wednesday (12/8). Sheikh said the Washington and Israel attacks since February were not as effective as the U.S. has claimed. He also described Iran's drone system as a "nightmare for the enemy." Tehran's claim runs counter to Donald Trump’s assessment last month that Iran had only about 21 to 22 percent of its missile and drone stockpiles before the war broke out.
