Iran threatens Gulf, Israel energy facilities if US strikes again
The warning raises the risk to oil and LNG supplies, with targets listed from Ghawar and Ras Laffan to Leviathan.
Iran warned that energy facilities in Gulf countries and Israel could become targets if the United States launches another attack. A Fars News Agency report said infrastructure within range of Iran's precision missiles includes the Ghawar oil field, the Abqaiq and Khurais facilities in Saudi Arabia, the Ruwais refinery and Zakum field in the United Arab Emirates, as well as North Field and the Ras Laffan LNG terminal in Qatar. The list also includes Burgan in Kuwait, Sitra and Ma'ameer in Bahrain, and the Leviathan and Tamar gas fields in Israel. The warning came as tensions rose after Donald Trump threatened further strikes against Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also warned that any new attack from the US or Israel would be met with a military response from Iran.
