Indonesia, Turki, Qatar, Pakistan sign Badr defense MoU
The deal takes effect immediately and covers joint military production, technology transfer, research, and technical training.
Indonesia, along with Turki, Qatar, and Pakistan, signed the Badr defense memorandum of understanding in Doha to strengthen strategic ties and military industry cooperation. The agreement is aimed at advancing joint projects in defense production, technology sharing, research and development, and military technical training. Turki's Defense Ministry said the cooperation model uses established mechanisms and procedures and took effect upon signature. Implementation will run through two bodies: an Executive Council that identifies joint projects and a Strategic Council that sets schedules and gives approval. For Indonesia, Kemlu said the partnership will be optimized to improve national defense production capabilities.
