Indonesia leads global LNG re-export loading market, buoyed by Arun Terminal
New: the IGU 2026 report puts Indonesia’s loading volume at 0.85 million tons, or 17.3% of the global market.
Indonesia ranked first in the world LNG re-export loading market in the IGU World LNG Report 2026, with a volume of 0.85 million tons and a 17.3 percent share. The result was supported by the Arun Terminal in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, operated by PT Perta Arun Gas, a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara in the Pertamina gas subholding. PAG said the Arun Terminal’s role as Indonesia’s first bonded LNG logistics center helps the flow of receipt and distribution of global supplies. Throughout 2025, the company carried out 49 operations, consisting of 27 unloading, 11 reloading, and 11 gassing up & cooling down. In the same period, PAG booked revenue of US$105 million and net profit of US$25.1 million.
