Indonesia condemns Israel's rejection of Gaza recovery roadmap

The 15-point plan has backing from UN Security Council Resolution 2803, while Hamas says it is ready to move to phase two.

Indonesia condemned Israel's rejection of a 15-point roadmap for the recovery of the Gaza Strip and said the move could derail an international agreement. Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela in Jakarta on Thursday said the comprehensive plan is a collective effort by the world community to restore life for Palestinians in Gaza, end the war and create regional stability. He said the plan has also received UN Security Council backing through Resolution 2803, adopted in November 2025. The rejection came after Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday turned down the document drafted by Donald Trump and the Board of Peace, while saying Israeli forces would not withdraw before Hamas is fully disarmed. Hamas, meanwhile, said it is ready to comply with the roadmap and proceed to the second phase of the peace process, including opening the way for Gaza reconstruction.
