Immigration blocks Tyo Nugros from leaving for Malaysia over state debt
His passport will be held until the matter with KPKNL Jakarta I is resolved, leaving him unable to travel abroad for now.
Tyo Nugros was stopped from departing for Malaysia during immigration screening at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on 5 June 2026, forcing him to cancel a scheduled appearance with Dewa 19 in Kuala Lumpur the next day. The Directorate General of Immigration said the travel restriction was imposed at the request of KPKNL Jakarta I because of an obligation to the state worth a substantial amount that has not been settled. Tyo's name was listed in the prevent-and-block database in the Immigration Management Information System. The Ministry of Finance, through DJKN, said the step was linked to the long-running handling of state receivables and was not related to Tyo's activities as a musician. Immigration also held Tyo's passport until the case with KPKNL Jakarta I is completed.
