Immigration blocks 2 Dutch nationals tied to Canggu race
Both left for Singapore on July 23; sponsors PT SIG and the event organizer are still being questioned in Bali.
The Directorate General of Immigration has barred two Dutch nationals suspected of organizing the Bali Silent Disco running event in Canggu, North Kuta, Badung, Bali. The two are identified as JAS, 35, a work ITAS holder, and HQV, 37, an investor ITAS holder. According to Immigration Director General Hendarsam Marantoko, both Dutch nationals left Indonesia on Wednesday night, July 23, 2026, on a KLM flight to Singapore through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. Immigration also summoned their guarantor, PT SIG, to check whether their activities matched their stay permits. Immigration officials in Bali were also asked to examine the event organizer behind the viral event, which was accused of discriminating against Indonesians.
