IHSG opens up 22.48 points to 6,524 amid new BEI rules
BEI targets a Rp1 per-share price fraction to take effect Sept. 7 after trial runs on Aug. 22 and 29.
IHSG of the Indonesia Stock Exchange opened stronger by 22.48 points, or 0.35 percent, to 6,524.07 on Friday morning, while the LQ45 index rose 2.62 points to 641.36. The move came as market participants watched domestic and global sentiment. At home, BEI is preparing to change the minimum price fraction for shares in the regular and cash markets from Rp50 to Rp1 per share. The exchange will also remove two criteria for the Special Monitoring Board and adjust auto-rejection limits. For shares priced Rp1-10, the ARA and ARB limits are set at Rp1 based on nominal value. Trial runs with exchange members are scheduled for Aug. 22 and 29, 2026, with implementation targeted for Sept. 7, 2026.
