IHSG opens down 0.17% as market digests Perry's exit
Rupiah held near Rp17.953 per U.S. dollar as investors also awaited the Federal Reserve meeting this week.
IHSG opened lower by 10.63 points, or 0.17%, to 6,185.80 in Monday, July 27, 2026 trading amid a wait-and-see mood among market participants. LQ45 also fell 2.07 points, or 0.34%, to 612.72. The market focused on Perry Warjiyo's departure as Governor of Bank Indonesia, although the rupiah's moves were seen as not overly reactive. The rupiah traded around Rp17.953 per U.S. dollar, weakening about 0.23%. At the same time, investors watched the Federal Reserve meeting through the FOMC. Hendra Wardana said the appointment of Destry Damayanti as acting Governor of BI signaled policy continuity during the transition period.
