Hino delivers practice truck to SMKN 5 Makassar, opens industry class
The first Hino industry class is set to begin in the 2026 school year, with 20 students taking part.
PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia delivered one Hino 300 truck along with vehicle components to SMKN 5 Makassar, South Sulawesi, for student practice. The handover took place at the school on Jalan Sunu No.162, Makassar, by HMSI President Director Shingo Sakai, accompanied by Kumala Grup President Director Erwin Tandiawan, to SMKN 5 Makassar Principal Amar Bachti. The donation is part of Hino Indonesia Partnership School's CSR program. In addition to the practice vehicle, HMSI and SMKN 5 Makassar signed a memorandum of understanding to open a Hino industry class for the first cohort in the 2026 school year. The program will involve 20 students and include technical training, industry-based curriculum development, competency certification, and efforts to improve the skills of teachers and students.
