Heaton backs Lammens to recover after Belgium error

Tom Heaton believes Senne Lammens will come back stronger after the mistake that led to Belgium's 2-1 loss to Spain in the 2026 World Cup quarterfinals. The 24-year-old goalkeeper came on for the injured Thibaut Courtois in the 71st minute, but failed to keep out Pau Cubarsi's late effort. Mikel Merino then pounced on the rebound to score the winning goal for Spain. Heaton said he had spoken with his Manchester United teammate after the incident.
