Haaland scores 2 as Manchester City beat Ipswich 3-2, go 6 clear

What's new: Enzo Maresca became the first Premier League manager to win his first seven league games.

Manchester City edged Ipswich Town 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, with Erling Haaland scoring twice as City stretched their perfect Premier League start to seven matches and moved six points clear at the top of the table. Phil Foden opened the scoring before Ipswich quickly leveled through Daizen Maeda. Haaland then restored City's lead and added another as Ipswich stayed in the game. The result gave Enzo Maresca a record-setting start: no Premier League manager had previously won his first seven league matches. City also emerged with injury concerns after Haaland and Antoine Semenyo limped off, while Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes and Nico O'Reilly were also reported hurt.
