Haaland cuts hair into buzz cut ahead of new City season
The new look debuted in City’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth, even though the Norwegian striker did not score.
Erling Haaland cut his long blond hair, long a trademark look, and switched to a buzz cut ahead of the new Manchester City season. He showed the change in a video on Instagram and YouTube on Sunday, then appeared on the pitch as City opened the 2026/2027 Premier League with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth at Etihad Stadium in Manchester. In the video, Haaland said he was nervous because Zlatan Ibrahimovic had once advised him not to cut his hair. He then called Noel Gallagher, Jack Grealish, Pep Guardiola and Ibrahimovic to get their reactions to his new look. Gallagher, Grealish and Guardiola praised the style, while Ibrahimovic joked by asking for Haaland's number to be deleted.
