Government keeps MinyaKita price at Rp 15,700, widens distribution
Distribution will be strengthened through Perum Bulog and ID FOOD to traditional markets, while producers are asked to add second brands.
The government is keeping the ceiling retail price for MinyaKita at Rp 15,700 per liter and focusing its next steps on expanding distribution. Trade Minister Budi Santoso in Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026) said MinyaKita will be distributed more widely to traditional markets through state food companies Perum Bulog and ID FOOD so supplies are easier for people to access in various regions. At the same time, the government is also asking producers to increase output of alternative cooking oil brands, or second brands. The move is aimed at adding more affordable cooking oil options and helping meet demand in the food aid program without relying only on MinyaKita.
