Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka received leaders of the Ikatan Alumni BEM Nusantara at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, June 22, 2026. In the meeting, Gibran urged the alumni to work together to build the nation and placed them as strategic partners of the government to strengthen development and bridge public aspirations. Tommy Suswanto, chairman of Pengurus Besar Ikatan Alumni BEM Nusantara, said the organization also raised a number of issues, from shortages of Minyakita to challenges faced by UMKM operators, as well as the prices of rice and fertilizer. He said Gibran encouraged the alumni to keep channeling public aspirations through letters and other communication channels.
