Forum Pemred holds FP Run 2026 in Jakarta on public media
About 500 people joined, and Forum Pemred also gave aid to five families of journalists missing while covering the Anak Krakatau eruption.
Forum Pemimpin Redaksi Indonesia held FP Run for Good Journalism 2026 at Unika Atma Jaya in Jakarta on Sunday (18/10), under the theme “Pers untuk Publik.” The event was attended by Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Angga Raka Prabowo, Press Council chairman Komaruddin Hidayat, and other stakeholders. Forum Pemred chair Retno Pinasti said the run was meant to promote quality journalism and bring the press community closer to the public amid doubts over the integrity of mainstream media and the spread of disinformation. Committee chairman Masirom said about 500 participants took part. At the event, Forum Pemred also distributed aid to five families of journalists who went missing while covering the eruption of Anak Gunung Krakatau in September 2026.
