Jason Arday, a former Cambridge University professor who recently resigned amid plagiarism allegations, was found dead in south London on Aug. 14 at age 41. Cambridge confirmed his death after emergency services found him unresponsive at an address in Battersea. Metropolitan Police said the death is being treated as unexpected and is not believed to be suspicious.
Arday left his post on Aug. 5 after Cambridge and Jesus College opened probes into allegations tied to his academic work and qualifications. He denied plagiarism claims and said his resignation was meant to bring peace to himself and his loved ones. In a statement released by publisher Simon & Schuster UK, his family said he had faced years of sustained abuse and harassment.
