Forest draw Leeds in lone all-Premier League EFL Cup tie
What's next: Second-round matches start the week of Aug. 24, with Chelsea and Fulham home draws creating a scheduling squeeze in London.
Nottingham Forest were drawn at home to Leeds United in the only all-Premier League matchup of the EFL Cup second round. Chelsea will host League One side Luton Town, Tottenham Hotspur face Charlton Athletic at home, and Everton travel to Preston North End, where manager David Moyes began his coaching career. Newcastle United were paired with West Bromwich Albion, while Brentford visit Birmingham City and West Ham United go to Southampton. The second-round ties are set for the week beginning Aug. 24, before the nine English clubs playing in Europe enter in round three. Chelsea and Fulham both landing home ties could force fixture changes because the London clubs are not expected to play at home on the same day.
