Fleetwood knock Arsenal out of Carabao Cup on penalties
What's new: Fleetwood drew 1-1 after Louis Loupalo-Bi's opener, then advanced 5-3 in the shootout after Arsenal had Max Dowman sent off.
Fleetwood Town dumped Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, beating the Premier League side 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the fourth round at Highbury Stadium. Louis Loupalo-Bi put Fleetwood ahead in the 20th minute before Viktor Gyokeres leveled for Arsenal early in the second half. Arsenal's night worsened when Max Dowman was sent off before the match went to spot kicks. The game was also briefly halted near the start because of a drone above the pitch. The upset sends Fleetwood into the quarterfinals and hands Mikel Arteta's side an early cup exit before upcoming matches against Liverpool and Slavia Prague.
