Five armed students arrested en route to brawl in Tangsel
Police seized one machete, two sickles, two motorcycles and four cellphones; a resident's cart was also damaged.
The KRYD Team of Batalyon C Pelopor Satbrimob Polda Metro Jaya arrested five students suspected of heading to a brawl on Jalan WR Supratman, Rengas, Ciputat Timur, Tangerang Selatan, early Sunday. Officers seized one machete, two sickles, two motorcycles and four cellphones at the scene. The incident also damaged one cart owned by a resident. According to Dansat Brimob Polda Metro Jaya Henik Maryanto, the students and the evidence have been handed over to Polsek Ciputat Timur for further questioning. The patrol came after officers swept several vulnerable points in Ciputat and Ciputat Timur. Polda Metro Jaya also urged parents, schools and residents to tighten supervision so teenagers do not become involved in street violence.
