FIFA probes Argentina brawl after 1-0 World Cup final loss

What's next: Argentina players and staff could face suspensions or fines over clashes after Spain's win in New Jersey.

FIFA has launched a disciplinary investigation into the post-match clash that followed Spain's 1-0 win over Argentina in the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The case could bring suspensions for players or coaches and a fine for the Argentine Football Association. Video from the closing moments showed Nahuel Molina confronting Rodri, while Leandro Paredes, Thiago Almada and assistant coach Roberto Ayala were also drawn into the scuffle. Enzo Fernandez had already been sent off late in the match. FIFA also is reviewing Argentina's conduct after its semifinal victory over England, when players displayed a banner backing the country's claim to the Falkland Islands.
