Fajar/Fikri target BWF World Championships title in New Delhi
They arrive after back-to-back Japan Open and China Open titles, while PBSI has set a title target for the Aug. 17-23 event.
Indonesia men's doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri are targeting the 2026 BWF World Championships title at Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi, India, on Aug. 17-23. Fikri said the chance to win is open, but he views the event as different because every pair arrives with big ambitions. The duo head into the tournament with high confidence after winning back-to-back titles at the 2026 Japan Open and 2026 China Open. At Pelatnas PBSI Cipayung, Jakarta, Fikri said about two weeks of preparation has gone well. He also stressed their focus is to take each match one by one so the title target does not become a burden. PBSI is aiming for Fajar/Fikri to bring home the title from the 30th edition of the world championships.
