Epstein victims oppose Todd Blanche after DOJ meeting on Senate vote

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche met Thursday with several Jeffrey Epstein survivors as he tries to secure Senate confirmation to lead the Justice Department permanently, but at least one victim emerged urging senators to reject him. Annie Farmer said Blanche was “abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal,” and accused him of refusing to address why her sister Maria Farmer’s 1996 complaint about Epstein was ignored. The meeting came after Sen. Thom Tillis said he would not support advancing Blanche from the Senate Judiciary Committee until he sat down with victims. With all 10 Democrats on the panel expected to oppose Blanche, a single Republican vote against him could block the nomination.
