Epstein survivor urges Senate to reject Blanche after DOJ meeting

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche met Thursday with several survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse at the Justice Department, then faced fresh criticism from one of them as the Senate weighs his confirmation. Annie Farmer said Blanche was "abrasive, condescending" and would not commit to examining why a 1996 report by her sister, Maria Farmer, was ignored or to releasing documents tied to charging decisions in the Epstein case. Blanche later said he encouraged survivors to bring any information they have to the FBI and that the department wants to prosecute anyone who committed crimes against Epstein victims. A spokesperson said the Justice Department remains focused on justice for trafficking and sex-crime victims.
