England’s Saka trained alone before Ghana match at World Cup
What’s new: Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice returned to training, easing two fresh injury concerns before Tuesday’s game.
Bukayo Saka trained separately indoors on Saturday as England prepared for Tuesday’s World Cup group match against Ghana in Boston, raising further doubt over whether the winger will start. England head coach Thomas Tuchel has been managing Saka’s Achilles problem through the opening stage of the tournament, and the Arsenal player is not yet ready for a full match. Saka came off the bench in England’s 4-2 win over Croatia and set up Marcus Rashford’s goal. In a boost for England, Rashford and Declan Rice both trained after minor issues following the Croatia game. England, top of Group L after opening with a win, are expected to use caution with Saka again.
