DPRD DKI prioritizes renovation of 22 Jakarta schools in 2026

The DPRD DKI Jakarta is urging the DKI Jakarta provincial government to strengthen planning for education facilities by conducting a comprehensive inventory of school conditions. The step is intended to map renovation and new construction needs based on the level of damage and urgency. DPRD DKI Jakarta Deputy Speaker Rany Mauliani said school buildings have been added to the 2026 construction priorities. She also inspected SDN 09 Kebayoran Lama Selatan in South Jakarta, which ranks eighth among the 22 schools scheduled for renovation. Work is targeted to begin in September, last 10 months, and have the school back in use in 2027. Commission E Chairman Subki asked the Education Office to catalog schools with severe, moderate and light damage so no location is overlooked.
