DPR proposes capping ASN pay via Kopdes at central staff
Kemendagri says the plan is not final and will not be mandatory, while DPR wants regional ASN salaries to stay with local banks.
Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI Rifqinizamy Karsayuda proposed that salary payments for aparatur sipil negara through Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih apply only to central government employees in ministries and agencies. For regional government ASN, including PNS and PPPK, he asked that pay continue to be disbursed through local banks so regional development banks do not lose low-cost funds and their employee-loan auto-debit functions are not disrupted. Meanwhile, Deputy Home Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto said the scheme is still only a proposal and has not become a final government decision. He said the cooperative would at most become one outlet, not the only channel, and would not be mandatory for all ASN. The proposal emerged after Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said the scheme submission had already been conveyed to the Finance Ministry.
