Dolly Parton, the country singer, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur, died Tuesday at 80 after what ABC News described as a brief battle with cancer. Her family disclosed her death on social media, and nephew Brian Seaver said in a video that grief belongs to those left behind. Over a career that ran for about seven decades, Parton won 10 Grammy Awards, sold more than 100 million records and wrote more than 3,000 songs, with “Jolene” among her signature hits. Manager Danny Nozell said Parton had spent recent years planning future ventures, and her team intends to move ahead with projects including Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, Dolly’s Life Of Many Colors Museum, Dolly Dolls and Dolly’s Cup Of Ambition Coffee.
