DKI to waive Transjakarta, MRT and LRT fares for job seekers starting 2027
The benefit will also cover job seekers without Jakarta IDs, with priority for those who have never worked.
The DKI Jakarta provincial government will waive Transjakarta, MRT and LRT Jakarta fares for job seekers starting Jan. 1, 2027. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the group is included in an expansion of the Free Service Card recipients from 15 to 21 categories. He announced the policy at the opening of Karir Jakarta and Tenaga Kerja Mandiri Expo 2026 at SMESCO in South Jakarta on Thursday (22/10/2026). According to Pramono, job seekers will receive a special card, with priority given to those who have never worked. The facility will apply not only to Jakarta ID card holders, but also to people from outside the region who are looking for work in the capital. Free access will be revoked once recipients get a job, so it will not apply to people who are already employed and want to change jobs.
