DKI prosecutors detain 3 new suspects in PU Ministry graft case

One suspect is alleged to have received more than Rp2 miliar, while two others are linked to fictitious projects that cost the state more than Rp16 miliar.

The DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office detained three new suspects in a corruption case involving projects at the Ministry of Public Works: YRW, RW, and JSR. The three were held for 20 days starting June 24, 2026, at Rutan Salemba, Central Jakarta. YRW, former acting director of irrigation and swamps at the Directorate General of Water Resources, is suspected along with suspect DP of extorting or receiving cash bribes and gratuities of more than Rp2 miliar from several state-owned construction firms and private parties tied to 2023-2025 projects. In another case, RW, as director of CV TAS, and JSR, as director of PT BKS, are accused of fabricating fictitious projects at the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Human Settlements in 2023-2024, causing state losses of at least Rp16 miliar. Investigators also seized two luxury cars and cash in U.S. dollars, and are still tracing the involvement of other parties and related assets.
