East Java education office partners with HGI Shanghai on vocational skills

East Java's Education Office is pursuing international cooperation to strengthen vocational education and digital talent through an official visit to Shanghai, China, on 8-12 June 2026. During the program, Disdik Jatim signed a Letter of Intent with HGI Research Centre. Disdik Jatim head Aries Agung Paewai said the collaboration is aimed at preparing graduates with skills that match industry needs in the era of digital transformation and AI. The delegation also discussed integrating education with industry, developing joint curricula, and opportunities for vocational skills certification to international standards. They visited Shanghai Qunxing Vocational and Technical School, Shanghai Caoyang Vocational and Technical School, and Shanghai Arts and Crafts Vocational College, which showcased industry-based learning in animation, digital media, game development, and AI.
