Denny withdraws lawsuit over Gibran certificate, walks out of PTUN hearing
Denny accused Kemendikdasmen of failing to produce the evidence behind the issuance of the equivalency letter, even after a panel request.
Denny Indrayana and his legal team withdrew their lawsuit over the education equivalency certificate for Gibran Rakabuming Raka, then walked out of a hearing at PTUN Jakarta on Thursday. Denny said the move came after the defendant, Kemendikdasmen, repeatedly failed to present evidence he said underpinned the issuance of the certificate, despite a request from the panel chairman. In the case, the plaintiff is listed as PT Mercy Toga Kirana, while the defendant is the Director General of Secondary and Special Education at Kemendikdasmen. The lawsuit challenged the education equivalency certificate used by KPU RI in reviewing Gibran's administrative eligibility requirements.
