Daveigh Chase, the former child actor who voiced Lilo in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and played Samara Morgan in “The Ring,” has died at 35. Her longtime manager, John Ryan Jr., told BBC News that Chase died in a Los Angeles hospital from sepsis after meningitis. He said she had also been admitted for malnourishment before her death. Chase broke through in 2002 with two defining roles: the voice of Lilo in Disney’s animated hit and the girl behind the haunting villain in the American horror remake “The Ring.” Her credits also included “Donnie Darko,” “Charmed,” “ER” and a 32-episode run on HBO’s “Big Love.”
