Dasco claims rolling blackouts will end starting this week
The claim came after a DPR meeting with ESDM, PLN, BIN and the Attorney General's Office to examine the cause of supply disruptions.
Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad claimed rolling blackouts in a number of areas will no longer occur starting this week and over the next few weeks. He made the statement after a meeting with the Ministry of ESDM, PT PLN (Persero), Badan Intelijen Negara and Kejaksaan on Monday (22/6). According to Dasco, the factors behind the electricity supply disruption were examined one by one in the meeting. He made the remarks at the 2026 national working conference of Konfederasi Serikat Pekerja Indonesia in Jakarta on Tuesday (23/6). He also referred to global pressures, including the war between the United States and Iran, which he said were affecting various sectors and needed to be mitigated so they would not worsen economic and social conditions.
