Darline Graham enters South Carolina Senate race as GOP field grows

Sen. Darline Graham will run for a full six-year term in South Carolina, quickly turning her recent appointment to the Senate into a bid to keep the seat. Graham, appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to serve through the end of the year, became the fifth Republican to seek the nomination in the Aug. 11 special primary. Filing opens at noon Eastern on Tuesday. Graham enters the contest with a boost from President Donald Trump, who endorsed her last week. Rep. Russell Fry also entered Monday, joining a field that includes Rep.
