Crystal Palace and Newcastle chase a reset in Sunday clash
What's at stake: Palace have shipped 17 goals in seven league games, while Newcastle are trying to settle after a major summer rebuild.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle meet Sunday with both clubs looking for a lift after uneven starts to the Premier League season. Palace have conceded 17 goals in seven league matches and are already glancing toward the bottom three after a heavy loss at Brighton, making this a key test in south London. Newcastle, meanwhile, are dealing with disruption after a summer of player turnover, eight signings and a managerial change shortly before the season. The Guardian reported that Palace's midweek Europa League draw with Besiktas offered some relief, but Sunday’s game carries added weight as both sides try to steady form and ease pressure around the club.
