Como sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in deal worth over £30m
What's new: The defender signed for five years after Como qualified for the Champions League by finishing fourth in Serie A.
Como completed the signing of Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in a transfer worth more than £30 million, adding an England international to Cesc Fabregas' squad ahead of a Champions League campaign. Chelsea will receive an initial £25.7 million, with a further £5.1 million tied to add-ons, after extended negotiations. Chalobah, 27, signed a five-year contract and leaves Chelsea after nearly two decades with his boyhood club. He made 151 appearances for the London side, won five trophies and earned two senior England caps. Fabregas called Chalobah a leader who can lift the level of the team.
